You’ve made a SPLASH by Saving Water. THANK YOU!

We’re guessing you missed the Board’s recent “Water 101” Study Session which is really too bad when you consider the splash you and your neighbors have made by taking water conservation to heart over the past decade.

Did you know?

  • The Town of Erie treated over a Billion Gallons of water last year. To be exact, we treated 1,135,916,586 gallons.
  • The Town has 7,952 active water taps servicing 24,630 people with an average annual household demand of 143,000 gallons.
  • 143,000 may seem like a lot, but thanks to you and your neighbors’ water conservation efforts – this number has decreased significantly over the last decade. In fact, average annual household usage between 2003 and 2007 was 177,200 gallons per year.
  • This means annual household water use in Erie has declined by 20% during the last 10 years.

All of us working together to conserve one of our most precious resources is another great reason Erie, Colorado is the best place to raise a family!
