Board Considers Revised Impact Fees – Over the past year, the Town and its consultants have been engaged in a review of the Town’s Impact Fees imposed on residential development.  Impact fees are one-time payments used to fund capital improvements necessitated by growth.  They are proportionate and reasonably related to the capital facility demands of new development.  During Tuesday night’s meeting, the Board considered an ordinance on First Reading outlining the proposed revised Impact Fees (see Fee Summary Comparison below).  In a separate action, the Board considered an ordinance on First Reading in order to accommodate proposed modifications to the Town’s Unified Development Code pertaining to how the Town’s Neighborhood parks are dedicated and constructed.  The Board is scheduled to consider both ordinances on Second Reading during their December 13, 2016 meeting.
