The Town of Erie Area Conditions Survey (the “Survey”) was prepared for the Erie Urban Renewal Authority (TOEURA) and Erie Board of Trustees in February 2012. The purpose of this work was to analyze conditions within a defined area (referred to here as “the Survey Area” and the “Area”) located within the Town of Erie and Boulder and Weld Counties, Colorado and determine: first, whether factors contributing to blight are present; and second, if enough factors are present such that the Area is eligible as an urban renewal area under the provisions of the Colorado Urban Renewal Law. In preparation for two additional urban renewal areas a more detailed Conditions Survey was conducted for the Four Corners area located at the southwest corner of County Line Road and Erie Parkway as well as the Highway 287 area primarily located at the southeast corner of Highway 287 and Arapahoe Road. These were both presented and approved by the Board of Trustees on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.
