Water Conservation Progams

On January 12, 2016, the Board of Trustees approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Center for ReSource Conservation to provide FREE residential and commercial water consultation services to Erie residents, businesses and homeowner’s associations during 2016. The program meets conservation goals set by the Town of Erie's Water Conservation Plan.

Slow the Flow Outdoor Irrigation Consultations
The Town of Erie has partnered with the Center for ReSource Conservation to provide FREE Outdoor Irrigation Consultations to residents from June-August. During the consultation you will receive a customized watering schedule, learn do-it yourself sprinkler maintenance and be give tips on how to improve the efficiency of you sprinkler system to save water and money.  Space is limited and appointments will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. Slow the Flow Indoor Water Consultations
The Town of Erie also offers an Indoor Water Consultation Program as a part of their partnership with the Center for ReSource Conservation. The Indoor Water Consultation Program includes an evaluation of inside water use and water fixtures in each home, and an offer to install at least two aerators and one low-flow showerhead. The Indoor Water Consultations will begin in March, end in May, then resume in September and end in December.

2016 Water-Wise Landscape Seminar

ERIE, CO You don’t have to be an expert to design and plant your own Xeriscape garden! This seminar will introduce the basics of water-efficient landscaping in the Front Range, making it accessible to anyone with a little bit of space for planting. Discover the many ways that Xeriscape saves you water, time, and energy. Content will include the 7 principles of Xeriscape and guidelines for incorporating them into your own Xeriscape garden at home. This class is intended for beginners and participants are strongly encouraged to come with questions.
